11 children injured in Blyth park dog attack

Interesting that the dogs home sold it to her in the first place.
As the saying goes "Unbelievable Jeff".
When we went to look at a couple of dogs from the Dogs Home they would not let us bring the one we chose until they had carried out a vetting system, coming to our house and ensuring that we had complete fencing all around both front and back gardens. They then conducted a questionnaire regarding how often we would be walking the dog, type of leads, inoculations and pet insurance.
Thankfully we passed but as you say how did a supposed Pets/Dogs home allow a wheelchair bound lady to keep such an animal.

Something not right, when I was a kid in the 70's dogs used to just tag along and no one was ever bit.

Seems since they got a higher social standing they have gone off the rails

Dogs need owners who will provide proper training and socialisation. Too many people just get dogs and then do nothing with them. Makes my blood boil. I own two dogs. One is a Boxer and one is a Cane Corso, the corso is young and about to start obedience classes so he's a model citizen when out and about

Staffs can be soft as shit and mad as a box of frogs, totally down to owners with staffs.

Sadly my dog killed a staff the other year because it attacked him, the owner was like the story above, disabled owner, no exercise, ran out all the time.

There is a young lad near me with a staff x English bull terrier, he always pulls it away from people and panics which in turn the dog picks up on so it is turning nasty.
I have told the parents they need more input here or it will end up getting put down, i don't think they have done a damn thing, complete wankers.

Owners should have to go on courses to learn how to control and look after their dog if it's a breed known to show potential violent behaviour. If they can't control it, then tough, dog is removed. I'd also say some breeds should be forced to always wear muzzles when not on a lead.

I have yet to see an article about a retriever,a pug,a labrador,a poodle,a larso apso,a dalmatian and the likes being in the news for these sort of attacks.Different story with this type of dog yet again.
Absolute bullshit, I've had 2, softest dogs you could meet, check your facts first

The thing is there is a correlation between complete wankers and the types of dog they have. Ugly, nasty dogs for shit chavy people!

Dogs are a reflection of their owners, they have their own personalities, but things like this are entirely down to how they've been raised. Staffies are frequently absolutely lovely dogs who are soft as anything and just love to play with other dogs, but unfortunately they look hard so are the dog of choice of utter twats who want an aggressive dog so train them to be that way.
