Yes, the beginning of every season is exciting. I miss football so much. Last year was not one of my favorite years to watch. I sometimes, throughout the year, felt like we could never find our groove and it was at times frustrating. (only because I know how well we can perform, and we weren't doing it). This year, I hope we get a good run of games in, and look more cohesive than last year.

I enjoy the break. I completely shut down from football over the Summer (rugby league fan so get into that to take my mind off the footy) and don't miss it for the first few months and I save a fortune (£18 for a ticket at the rugby and you stand on terraces and can take beer to the stands!). I didnt watch the Copa and never watch pre-season games because they're a joke. And don't watch any U.S. or wimmins stuff.

But then you see the Sky ad with Henry and when the SeasonCard arrives in the post and the excitement builds for the new season again.

I'm underwhelmed with our transfers to date since Khaldoon said it was going to be a huge Summer and how poor we were at times last season for a supposed top side (Stoke and West Ham would have been just about happy with the amount of points we picked up from New Year to April), but there's still time to go yet.

By the time next Saturday morning comes and I'll have a weekend of Prem footy to watch I'll be dead excited for our season to kick off on the Monday.

Personally I'd quite like a couple of months more to enjoy the summer, that said I think we are better than the media and many other City fans think we are. Bring it on, we will be fine.
