Did some useful things. I particularly like his willingness to go outside his man. We haven't seen that from a winger since Leroy, really. Jack sometimes does it. I've often wondered whether they're trained by Pep to go inside, since it guarantees possession much more, even if it doesn't lead to spectacular results.
Probably Pep - but also if they're inverted (like Mahrez, Grealish, Bernardo, and Phil when he's on the right), then they're going in to cross/shoot on their stronger foot.

It's interesting, isn't it? When I was a left winger in my youth — a crap one, I hasten to add, I didn't have any change of pace whatsoever — it just sort of went without saying that you were left-footed if you played on the left, and right-footed if you played on the right. Don't know when the thinking on that changed.
I still continue to believe that if you can get past your man on the outside, and cross the ball back and away from the keeper and his defence with your stronger foot, you're likely to create more chaos. It's a nightmare for centre-halves.

Immediately he will be labeled as belgium jesus navas followed by chicken crossing the road jokes .

Was happy with how he looked first game. Nerves clear at times but he had some really good moments and I liked how frustrated he was at the end of the game because he wants to get assists. I recon we’ll see him quite a lot as the season progresses
Same here I liked his attitude... when things don't work out for him he said he likes to put in a defensive display to make up for it.

The way he runs reminds of Pele, very upright. Ignore the title to this video, the clips themselves are good though, some of his take ons are electric.

Didn't watch the match but apparently he was a menace tonight. Still very raw and will undoubtedly frustrate some at times with his end product but still exciting none the less IMO.

I'm chuckling at the thought of reactions that Pep is going to give us from watching Doku but he's undeniably electric.

I’m still struggling to see how he fits with Pep’s anti-chaos philosophy. The bloke is a chaotic whirlwind of a player.

I think Txiki has set Pep a challenge to keep him interested.
