No amount of working with a fitness coach will make him sustain his speed over a further distance. Unfortunately you either have the stamina or you don't.
I think his strength is acceleration, but right now, he can't go past his relatively low personal speed limit. You see it in the top-speed/average speed stats. Stamina is an issue that could be fixed, IMO.

He is young, though, so hopefully he can significantly improve in all aspects of his game.

Doku to rip Cavajal apart when we play Real.
Hypothetically, I hope so, but I wouldn't play Jeremy against this Real Madrid side. They are quick on a CA, and someone like Carvajal is capable of stopping Jeremy. He has struggled against some way less established PL defenders.

I would use him off the bench as needed, but it would be a big risk to start him against this Real team.

Realistically he hasn’t really ripped any full back apart since that Bournemouth game. I like him a lot, just think he should be utilised from the bench going forward, coming on and running at some tired legs!

Doku can beat any fullback in the world one on one. His entire game is based on beating opponents one on one. The problem emerges when they send two men on him, but we don't play that way. IMO he can skin Carvajal easily and with how much space we leave at the back, he can cause some serious damage.

Also he needs his confidence back, right now he is very low in confidence. No matter how skilled he is, there exist a mental block that will him unable to beat his defender currently in consistent basis.

You’re right, it’s not exactly scientific but whenever the camera is on him after he’s done something that hasn’t come off he has a look on his face that says he’s really not comfortable in his role.
I’ve still seen plenty to remain optimistic about though. He will settle down.

Agreed. He will round up physically, this isnt his prime yet, and lets not forget he missed almost the entire season two years ago with injuries that cause exactly that type of aerobic deficiency.

But to say Doku is slow should honestly disqualify you from the discussion. Hes as explosive as it gets, but needs to sustain it. Never having to run off the ball contributes to it. btw, Mbappe also is in the french farmers league. And Doku has shown his quality on the international stage. Crazy how much hate this kid gets.
He is not £100m rated English player. It's the difference. All other players get luxury of learning under Pep in first season but he didnt. Barely seen it's his first season comment. Why? Because he is competing with this forums favourite who took 1 1/2 seasons to get going and this season seemingly has lost trust of manager a bit this season. There is no get behind the player with Doku

Hell someone on Kalvin Phillips thread called him KEY PLAYER when he wasn't performing
