11 | Jeremy Doku - 2024/25

Will make a considerable difference now he's back I think. In the last few weeks our opponents have known we have no pace bar Haaland, therefore they can press us with moderate risk at best. Doku's pace alone gives us that out ball which will make any team think twice about pushing high up the pitch against us.

State of Erling here.. what is he hoping for? Look at all that space at near post the fucking melon.
All I thought when this happened was Aguero v Liverpool years ago. Bernardo hit a similar ball in and somehow Aguero got off the floor, ran in front of Lovren or Van Dijk and rifled it past Allison on the near post inside about half a second. An outrageous finish.

Has to play every week. Will drive us round the twist sometimes but he is a huge threat and the opposition are shit-scared of him.

Absolutely love this lad. Amazing talent. He might frustrate us at times but he’s bloody brilliant. Never gives us. Fails once he goes again. Think he’ll chip in well with G+A now. Jack fed him really well tonight.

I said last season Doku is the opportunity to free up Jack from the wing. But bluemoon simply only wanted A vs B debate....

Definitely our strongest winger. Gives a constant outlet when attacking. Quite good in tracking back now aswell.

Must work on his first touch if he’s to be a constant threat in games, and especially against superior defenders. Ball was too often away from him in the first half and those seconds he takes to regain it can negate his advantage. That said, he worked his socks off and chose his moments to attack well.

Very good tonight, hopefully he can stay fit and use this game as a springboard for the rest of the season.
