11 | Jeremy Doku - 2025/26

We literally say this after every game. One good cross for Dias and that’s it
He should have had 2 assists. What we’ve been seeing is real improvement in him. Everyone knows he’s got huge talent but needs to improve his end product. Clearly he’s been doing that lately.

He was one of the better players, but Pep limited him for some reason by not having him play in the centre.

Should have had at least two assists. I also noticed a big difference that he was in genuine goalscoring positions much more often than previously, to the point where he had a few half chances at the back post. A couple of headers and really tough waist-high volley type thing.

And that was with being doubled up on every single time, we almost never got the ball to him quickly enough.

He is the first ISO NBA game equivalent in football I’ve seen. The amount of times players pass him the ball and leave him completely alone on the left just to stay behind the defenders without zero movement is crazy. Would be a world beater in another side with more space and movement.

I am looking forward in seeing what the new coaches can do with Doku's game. Going of the CWC there is plenty to build upon.

He limits himself by being utterly one dimensional.
Great sub - be nice to keep him to that role, but doubt he'd accept it.
Brilliant against Wales though. He's very exciting, and tries things.
In how many dimensions does he have to beat players to be a starter?

The major problem is if he plays one of marmoush, cherki or foden doesn't and all three should start based on what I've seen. If you can find a way to get doku in as well then great! If we had Rodri full fitness maybe as he was a one man midfield, but thats not happening any time soon.

I think Marmoush and Foden are actually quite similar, so it's one of them, plus Cherki and Doku for me.

But in any case I don't think this a problem in a 60-70 game season, it's a strength.

Think doku has been excellent. Only issue I have with him is his injury record. If he can stay fit he should always start imo.

To those saying about his wastefullness. If he produced every time he beat a man he would be the best player in the world. He produces at least 2 good chances a game. That is brilliant as it is
