11 | Jeremy Doku - 2025/26

As I said he lost some quickness as hes specializing in what Pep wants him to become. Hes no longer who Mbappe called "the fastest player from a standing start I have ever seen". He sacrificed some of that for more muscle and strength in duels. But his passing is so improved. And apparently so is his crossing. Both with the left and the right his crosses today were extremely dangerous. Should have had a couple of assists indeed. Hes a creative force, but hes not pure entertainment like he was in season 1 and 2.

Even when not at his best, he was creating loads of dangerous chances.

He is easily in the top 3 with Haaland and Foden as our most consistent attacking players.

We need the rest to get up to the level where even when not at their best they still have some output.

Our only creative output again. As so often . More than solid. Some here seem to expect 100% successful dribbling rates which not even prime Neymar or Messi reached

I think his acceleration to top speed and change og direction is what's fast. He's never really had top end long speed.

His top end long speed was still elite. Still remember how he sent Porro to the floor.

And the previous year when he won that penalty against Tottenham

Check 8 minutes and 7 seconds. Thats elite pace.

But also his standing start acceleration Mbappe talked about was the best in the world. Only Wan Bissaka could match him. Now there are a lot of fullbacks that he cant get by. Hes slower both in terms of top speed and acceleration. Instead hes more slippery and agile, stays on his feet in duels and finds space to make that pass from the middle.

Its player evolution

Good luck.

Was world class against liverpool, been shite ever since.

What annoys me is the trademark run at two defenders, try to get between them, and fall over, oh and run past one, then turn round and play it backwards.

The word frustrating was invented just for him.
Utter bollocks. He should have 3 assists against Newcastle and probably 2 yesterday. Winger creating chances and constantly taking 2 players to mark him.

If he played like he did against Liverpool every week he’d be the best in the world.
I agree he would, but he doesn't even play 1/2 that level most of the time.

He's erratic in the extreme for me, and I find that very frustrating, whether or not he creates chances.

He beat the defender(s) yesterday, then crossed it for a throw in, that is inexcusable, Savinho does the same

Haaland missed 2 one on ones in a week. Inexcusable, mistakes should not be tolerated
