Your problem is really with pep. We play a midfielder at left full because manager trust's him TO FILL a position we are weak in. Not the player's fault.

He's papering over a huge issue at LB. Nothing against him, he played well today but doesn't change the fact he's not what we need.

Take away the fact he is not a great left back from the player, he comes in cold and plays well, give him the credit and he has earned his medals

Very good today. Defensively was sound against a very tricky opponent, stood up well, made tackles, has excellent awareness in terms of knowing where he needs to be which is more impressive considering its not his natural position. Doesn't offer much going forward as an attacking threat himselfbbut he does make it easier for us to keep possession and find players in space further up the field, does the Rodri role better than him from left back. Will never be the long term number 1 answer but can't fault him today deserves credit for that performance.

Very good game from him, especially considering he's barely played all season, defensively solid but what people havn't mentioned is that the first two goals came from precise inside balls from him.

Good game today, never feel like he will really give the ball away and considering he hasn't played much this season, we can probably forgive him for the last minute cock up. Played well otherwise.

P.S Actually, it's difficult to find worse fullback than Mendy right now. Cancelo played there, Ake played there, laporte had some minutes in the past and etc.. All were better than him :)
