Doesn't really do anything, on one hand he is likely to make no mistakes because he doesn't take any risks which is fine (except that fckin Southamton goal last season). He can receive the ball in most situations and find a pass which Pep definitely would prefer than not, I think I read hes the best at the club at the 'rondo' lol. But yeh, probably got a lot more ability that would be best suited elsewhere. I would rather we got a LB to challenge with Mendy or just use Ake and Mendy there.

The question. Is Zinchenko`s best good enough. As I`ve said, he seems a lovely lad and well liked. Should we keep every player we buy and every academy player that we have come through the system so as not to upset them too much. Football is a business and a sport that to be successful in you have to win and yes be a little ruthless at times. That chance to win and trophies especially can be fleeting as we`ve known over the years.

We`ve had a left fullback problem for a long time, it needs sorting and in my opinion Zinchenko isnt one of the answers.

Yes, I said dogshit my bad sorry Zinchenko, if you read the forum pages I didnt mean it. I want you to stay for ever. Love and kisses XXXX
Football is a business and apparently you believe our owner's are bad business people because City won back to back titles, FA & Carabao cups while we had a left fullback problem, breaking numerous records on their way. It must have been your love and kisses that helped them get away with such negligent business practices.

If calling a players footballing abilities dog shit on a football forum upsets you its no wonder you don`t post much.
Why don't you read what you post.
You did not say his "footballing abilities dog shit" you said "Zinchenko is dog shit", a very big difference, made worse by now claiming you did not say "Zinchenko is dog shit" even though it is posted here for all to see.
No doubt you would consider it a badge of honour if someone used the forum to call you "dog shit" or maybe not.
As for not posting much, there's enough whiff from the crap you post without adding to it.

He’s a hard-working player, granted. Pep wanted him gone previously but he to stay and fight for a place, fair play to him for that.

I think your point backs mine up. He’s benefited from playing in an outstanding team who mostly dominated teams and games. I’d struggle to remember many goals he assisted on, probably bottom of the list with the other squad players.

Agree to disagree.
Fair enough. He played in an outstanding team but very few outstanding teams are made up of entirely outstanding players and any manager will agree that the lesser lights contribute to making an outstanding team.

Let me get this straight. You sincerely believe that by getting match fit it will make Zinc a better player thus allowing him pass the ball directly to a team mate ?
Now who`s deluded.
How difficult is it for you to understand that any player plays better when match fit than when they are coming back from a lay off. He had a poor game on Tuesday and a poster suggested that not having match sharpness may have contributed to a below par performance. If you think that poster or any one is deluded for agreeing with that reasonable post you have learned little about sport performance in your years of watching it. Why not take time off from negative posting and watch the game again. You will see the same poor passes you saw before and if your eyes and mind are open you will see that he made numerous passes directly to teammates as well and not just backwards and sideways. For someone who has watched football for 57 years you don't seem to have grown out of infantile playground name calling whenever some post doesn't fall in line with your opinion. If I am deluded it is a better place to be than being blind to the blatantly obvious fact that a player can do good things as well as bad things in a game but you can only see the bad. Maybe the snowflakes you see are the ones on your screen during matches, that might explain a lot.

Same can be said for a number of players; Gundog, Mahrez, Stones, Mendy. It's just unconscious bias in a lot of cases.

Zinchenko hasn't been vicitim of any abuse.

This is a forum, not a football ground.
Ok you believe Zinchenko hasn't been the victim of any abuse. Maybe you missed out on what was said post Lyon.
"This is a forum, not a football ground." Are you suggesting abuse on one is not abuse on the other. Maybe you could elaborate to avoid potential misunderstangs.

Many posters suffer from confirmation bias, otherwise known as being wrong.

I notice that with some posters players have 2 viewpoints, sign him up/ brilliant or shit/get rid.
Maybe it stretches the grey matter to comprehend a squad consisting of a few superstars and others who contribute to the squad.
Many want a 60 million 250 grand a week player x2 in every position. After all it is not their money.
Slagging players off seems to be major reason for their interest.

How difficult is it for you to understand no matter how "fit" certain players can be it will NOT help them one jot to become better.
Open your eyes.Zinc is one of our worst players and enough people on this thread also say the same thing.Name calling you say ... people who live in glass houses should not what ??

Qoute me calling you names and I will apologise immediately.

You got upset by the word "snowflake" WOW just WOW.And that is the best you can offer in calling me childish with infantile words.
The old adage "sticks and stones" comes to mind with a very tetchy poster.
I guess the forum just isn`t for you.I take it you never come here on the Matchday Forum otherwise that would send you to see your GP.

No cancer sends me to my GP, maybe civility is not something you understand.
Any descriptive adjectives I used referred to your posts not you, an important difference. Not the same as name calling, so your "sticks and stones" adage may come to your mind but it should stay there as you are misusing the term. If any word I used to describe your posts has upset your sensitive disposition I apologise unreservedly. I don't see the forum as an opportunity to slag our club and players and other posters, foulmouthed or otherwise, behind a cloak of anonymity. The only snowflakes that worry me are the ones that develop into roadblocking snowdrifts. Calling someone a "snowflake" is just the latest fashionable word misuse, used by bullies to verbally bully people they think they are superior to or who don't agree with them, so don't get your wows in a twist. As long as this forum has articulate posters who use it to discuss City and football in general it's the place for me so your guess is well off the mark. ". I take it you never come here on the Matchday Forum", again way off the mark, it's always possible someone makes an interesting point amongst the sea of anger and bile. I hope you enjoy the festive football fixtures, at our age getting "tetchy" over football is a waste of our diminishing time.

Decent player but not good enough to play in our midfield and he is not a good lb.

If we can sell him in the summer and buy an actual lb the team will improve and zin can go and continue his career with a few medal around his neck. We have too many zins in the first 11, we need to use the funds to buy match winners.
