He is clearly struggling with the conflict in Ukraine. Hard to judge him at the moment as he is not getting a run out. With Cancelo’s form dropping and Ake injured he should have started the last 2 games.

As you say he is struggling with the war , he should only play if he feels he can , pep is keeping him close with his mates for support and not to play games
 
Agree with the above comments but we are in a bit of a pickle. With Kyle still suspended Zinch would normally be nailed on to play against Atleti but what other option do we have if Ake is still injured ? We can’t even put Stones at right back if Ruben is still injured.

If his head is straight he might play , if not pep will have to find a different solution , depends on ruby's fitness if eric can play at right back and joao left back, ake is not injured last i heard but he is not great to just throw in
 
Just love this guy. Any young footballer who’s told “You’re only good for x or y or z” - take a look at this guy. Refuses to accept “you’re not good enough; you don’t belong”

And he didn’t play a minute.
