12 days of utter boredom....

I don't think any world cup winner ever got it trough sheer luck, France didn't exactly meet the easiest teams in the tourney neither. We had arguably one of the best attacks of the tourney and yet we hardly could create chances versus France. France simply played a tourney where their quality didn't always show itself so much but they were efficient.

Yeah, lets hope that coincide's with a more positive attitude from the fans and media towards their national team.

I think in any tournament the winners will have had some luck which is illustrated by the fact that frequently the best team doesnt win it.

The media seem to have changed for now the attitude toward the England team and the public here other than it would seem Premier league supporters by and large fell in love with the national team this summer. How the FA and Southgate can keep that trend remains to be seen. Getting home matches away from Wembley will help as will playing attacking entertaining football something that by and large seems to have been beyond England managers.

Like Phil Foden for example? Well had he been picked to play for England this break there would have been no end of moaning on here.....

I always have been and always will be an England Fan and a Manchester City fan, used to be the norm, its probably only racists and brexiters who support the national team these days in the eyes of your modern day Premoer League "footie" fans.
That's a really odd attitude to have, you'd have to been a real miserable guts to not have wanted England to win it in the summer

You could also congratulate the rags .........................

Good result for you lot this weekend - they didn't get beat.

The funny thing to me about these awful international breaks is how excited I get on the last Friday.
Yes! There's actual league matches in Germany and France! And something like Augsburg v Stuttgart is on and I'm all enthusiastically settling in to watch.

I say this in every thread of this type and I’ll say it again:

I could not give less of a shit about international football. I WISH they’d just fuck the friendlies off.

I’ve read a few people on this thread talking about friendlies. Just to put them right, England aren’t playing friendlies this week, they have two games in the Nations League. It’s up to you of course if you see this competition as friendlies but there is something to play for in that the winners of the group go into the semi final and the bottom placed side gets relegated to division two. I’m not sure it will make much difference to most people on here either way though but I do find it slightly sad that the modern football fan in England has this attitude about international football. I think we are pretty much alone as a country in this way and it has to be due to the marketing and hype of the premier league and the fact that we don’t have an identity as a country anymore which I find slightly sad.

Get away on holiday, that's what I do.

Can't be arsed with International matches at the best of times nevermind friendly games ...oh sorry UEFA Nations League or whatever it's called these days.
