Fair, but whatever is going on with Nico G and Pep is curious. I get that he's had similar issues to Rodri when he started (running too much, getting carded too often), but even then he's not had any look in at all.
think it just timing and circumstance, played 7 of the first 10 prem games etc, then Kova/Gundo struck up a decent partnership and pep rolled with that in the 4222 thing. Now its just getting back in again. Silva is the smartest positional player we have so not surprised he gets the nod in the 316 thing on sat, as well as being the learning curve as you say.

Jesus christ, we had a 10 game unbeaten run just ended, why would pep start drastically changing that side by bringing in players who have been here a couple of months and have established no reliability?

As entirely expected, he doesn't understand what's required of him yet, other players have been playing well and so he hasn't played. It's that simple and nothing else. There's no conspiracy, There's no suggestion that pep doesn't rate him and will ship him out 6 months after signing him.

Well he decided to change the defence that was working by dropping Nunes for Akanji so who knows.

ed, he doesn't understand what's required of him yet,
This reads like Pep uses some interstellar tactics either way whatever Pep is doing too wasn’t required of him but here we are playing same old boring football full of side ways passing

Don’t think Nico will find it difficult to learn those safe side way passes

He's played 2 minutes over 5 games in the past 2 months, since playing the full game in the 5-2 against Palace and most of the Everton game. I get what you are saying but I still find it odd. I was hoping he'd have more chances so he can hit next year running. Then again, Pep's an odd genius.

Clearly the plan was having to bring him on tonight to entice a red card then score a banger. Odd genius!

Oh good to see that he was capable of doing that tonight, pretty difficult to know his qualities when he never fucking plays.
