16 Points - Sense of Perspective

Cheers

13 pt lead and six games to go but lose to spurs and a urd win and its a 10 pt lead a 5 to go.....spurs game is huge and off the back of a champs league game its going to be very difficult...

It will be closer thsn evreyone thinks. People saying its won are just wrong

It’s done imo... I’m wrong am I? Well let’s see eh.

He may well do but there was no reason we couldn't have had an historic win and then go into tues on a high,i'm sure 4 of our best players did not need to sit on the bench yesterday, they are fit young atheletes who can play both,he just didn't respect the fans yesterday, barca v madrid for the title messi wouldn't have been on the bench

I don't disagree at all, but the owners and managers of this club (and most of the players to be fair) will never get it like we do.

Problem is I don't know of too many died in the wool blue oil billionaires from Didsbury ;)

In hindsight there was not much wrong with the team selection 2-0 up at half time with a host of miss opotunities .school boy errors led to there goals.

With recognised strikers playing it would probably have been more than 2-0 at half time.

Feels like our season restarts on Wednesday morning with 6 to play and 13 point advantage. I'll take that scenario any day...!

It should have been anyway as you would bank on Sterling to put at least
one of them chances away
After saying that it beggars belief he "rested" so many players

Liverpool were the better side and deserved the win simple as that. Nothing to do with mentality. They were just better.

Yesterday we should’ve been out of sight. At 2-0 Sterling had 3 and Gundogan had 2, great chances to score and didn’t take them. That’s just poor technique. Nothing to do with mentality. We also should’ve had a clear penalty and red card and hit the post at the end. We were incredibly unlucky. Nothing to do with mentality.

Our defending was shit for their goals. There’s no evidence that was mentality based though. It was just poor defending
Totally agree with you, all I'm saying is when we are not the better team ie; (Liverpool) why can't we dig in and lose 1-0, when we have a bad 30 mins why do we concede 3 goals, you say it's not mentality maybe it's lack of Ingame leadership, it's only happened twice it better not happen again.

Agree with this point, it really needs to be addressed. We don't seem to be able to just ride out a tough 10 minutes, just crumble.

still gutted about it. i can't believe we actually lost that game.

i agree with others. i dont think pep or some of the people higher actually get what the derby means and how important that game was yesterday.

for them it's just another 3 points. Their job is to win trophies. It's right that it should be that way. Our relationship is a little different to MCFC because we are surrounded by Man Utd. If you can look at it unemotionally then Pep did what he had to do

ANyway, the team out there was eminently capable of winning that game. Combination of Sterling and the ref. having a mare did for us.
