Fernandinho is one of my favorite players and one of the best signings we’ve made imo. However, he has often struggled against Liverpool and with Rodri, it felt much more composed. I’ve been critical of him many times but he’s becoming better and better and many players have found it difficult the first season under Pep.

Had Dippers midfield in his back pocket , a defensive midfield masterclass and his aerial ability vastly underrated , he cleared virtually every dead ball/centre , he isnt pretty on the eye but very effective he has become a better footballer under Pep like so many others.

I was critical of his first 12 months but he's been fucking brilliant for 2-3 months now.

Probably the last time I'm critical of a player in their first 12-18months of signing, seems to take everyone about a year under Pep before they really start shining.
