1 of our better players today, never did I shout FFS Rodri like I did Kev, Phil, Raz, Kyle, Mendy, Torres, oh and of course Mahrez.

Youre describing Gundogan to a tea.While Rodri can also be guilty of such,I think his powers of recovery are better and he reads danger better,he also sticks his foot in when necessary.Great passer of the ball when teams allow us to pass it.
When pressed or when there is a ball over the top he is anonymous.
It's this weak link that means the defence is far too exposed.
Yes he could be more athletic,but I dont think he's the poor player some are tagging him.

It's a very sad but familiar sight watching players ghost past Rodri whilst he fully stretches his arms to try and pull them back but he's too slow even when doing that to get close to them.

Hes a good player if used correctly. Pep needs to stop playing him with slow lazy midfielders and he'll be fine. I think we should play him with bernie and kdb.He had a good game today
Had a good game tonight. Adding Dias and Laporte improved us a lot from last Sunday. Rodri only struggles when our forwards leave runners and don't press as a unit. Add Bernie and Sergio/Jesus and that should help further.
I would love to see the following team become our regular first 11 - Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Ake, Rodri, Bernardo, Kev, Sterling, Sergio, Torres. With Steffan, Cancelo, Phil, Jesus, Ferna, Gundogan, Stones & Delap rotated as subs. Add Palmer & Doyle for cup games and I believe we would be back to competing for top spot. Youthful team with plenty of pace and a team that could get us excited again. I could easily see this team capable of those 10 game winning streaks we love so much.
No room for Mendy and Mahrez until they prove they deserve it - harsh maybe, but they both have had extended runs in the team - Coincidently the period where we have become a little predictable and easier to beat. For me Pep needs to start showing his no sentiment side - as he did when he first joined us.

Yes but that time he showed no mercy to mostly older players of previous regime/previous manager's signings.
Now he has to show no mercy for the players he signed very expensively and these are not over 30 players.
