Sorry @ NK but the last bit really isn't true.
Alright David Batty, then.
Sorry @ NK but the last bit really isn't true.
I have to say I'm really getting tired of you and @PannickAtTheDisco just saying the same recycled shit in this thread every 3 days, and I can't believe I'm the only one.
Yes, we get it, he's not Fernandinho and you don't like him.
He played perfectly well yesterday. Was it a 10/10? No, but that's not worth the constant negativity. He was very effective at beating Arsenal's press, he bailed out a lot of teammates when they came under pressure by being always available for an easy pass and always able to take the ball and move it on quickly no matter how many Arsenal players surrounded him.
Then, without the ball, he won back possession more than anyone else on the pitch - more than anyone has in 1 game across the entire league season.
That's a solid game, and it was at the heart of a solid 1-0 win. It was not a game where a normal person would think "I need to run to my computer and complain about how he did something wrong in the 31st minute that Fernandinho would never".
If you're going to spam this thread with negative comments at least try and come up with something new, instead of the same shite over and over.
Pep loves him, he's not going anywhere so I'd suggest just getting this attempt to make him the new whipping boy.
I'm sure you'll all ignore this and continue to post the same comments before and after every game we play but I felt it was worth a try.
Well said, pitch perfect.I have to say I'm really getting tired of you and @PannickAtTheDisco just saying the same recycled shit in this thread every 3 days, and I can't believe I'm the only one.

What’s the issue with people repeatedly pointing out he’s too slow if the team repeatedly suffer because of it??
I agree, too slow and not mobile enough. It’s coming to something when Gundo and Fern look far quicker and a lot better for me than Rodgers.Imo, he also failed to read a number of situations which should be food & drink to a top quality def mid. And lost the ball in danger area.
He had 3 cbs behind him, Cancelo dropping in plus Bernardo often even turning up in his own box.
Even Pogba could have played there.
You accused me of looking to belittle Rodri on every occasion, previously & I asked you to give examples. You couldn't, because it wasn't true.
After watching our midfield constantly outpaced & him failling to pick up dangerous moments which the 'right' player would do, I have decided I think he's the wrong man. If we play a game, I am entitled to comment on the fucking player performance thread, what I think about it.
I would be delighted to be wrong. And I believe we can win the title etc, with him.
But we can do, much much better.
"Even Pogba could play there"
"He's Gundogan's replacement"
"Funny watching him [Bernardo] v Rodri: no contest."
"Rodri sat on the bench thinking "I must be so shit"."
Dinho was twice the player. A lumbering, non creative player like Rodri, should be immaculate in his game, to make up for it.
Fern is old. Rodri plays same age.
If he has more than one job, he's much worse than I thought.
Then we could have Joey Barton there.

You're right, I can't imagine why I have the impression you're constantly negative about Rodri...
