Couple of times first half he got the ball and had 2 or 3 palace players closing on him, he shimmied one way and then just broke through and ran forward in to space Leaving them trailing. So intelligent With his body positioning when he receives the ball.

He’s the best in Europe by some distance, has been for 18 months in his position… just wish he’d back himself in the final 3rd more as if he can add 10 or so to his repertoire he’s approaching long lasting status within the game…

What a player though, he’s undoubtedly studied Dinho, positionally, and elevating it, which is madness!!

Noticed he was passing forward a lot more last night too. He’s the best in the league at anticipating and winning the ball back so if he adds bravery with his passing and dribbling to his game then we’ll have the complete midfielder.

Wouldn’t swap him for anybody in world football!

Best player in this league in the last two seasons. Gets nowhere near the level of praise he deserves. Should be winning the Premier League player of the season, never mind the City one, but I bet he won’t even get nominated. Some attacker will score a few goals and Rodri will be forgotten about.
