A mistake is passing it backwards without looking to an opposing striker, that's not a mistake. It's pure idiocy and there's simply no excuse for it.

No different to when walker stupidly got himself sent off in the champions league few seasons back, pep was livid and he rightly didn't play for a while afterwards. Rodri will play because he's integral to the side but it shouldn't go unpunished. There's also not a chance rodri gets pissed off with whatever punishment pep may give him, he will know himself how stupid it was.
Na, a quiet word is sufficient in this instance.

People need to chill we beat the rags without rodri , play Kova and Nunes pivot and we good to go. Bernardo,Kova and Grealsih will be back, the only positive thing ABT this is rodri getting a rest till international break

I’m over it, was really pissed in the moment and sucks to lose him against Arsenal, but not worth mulling on.

Again, it's not a mistake. How good he's been for us is also irrelevant in relation to this incident. I'd expect the same level of punishment for our best player doing that or a kid making his debut. It's unacceptable whoever it is.
It's a lapse in control, born out of frustration which was brought on by shit/bent* refereeing.

(*make your own mind up)

Disagree… it’s a mistake by a guy who has been incredible the last 12 months.
2 and half years he’s been immense, just those who doubted him want to make it seem less…

He’s made a mistake, regardless of the shit hollyoaks acting from that twat gibb, you can’t be attempting to grab the throat; it was a deliberate ploy from pink eye cooper, and continued well after the red with Eddie, Foden and Grealish….

Can we atleast appeal ? Don't think the FA will help us when we are already screwed they want us to lose

Great player, a moment of stupidity

No doubt the forest player made the most of it but putting your hands around a players neck like that is just asking for trouble

A cheap and unnecessary red card but even the best have moments of stupidity.

Oh well, what's done is done, hopefully he learns from it and controls himself more in future. It's bad enough losing players to injuries but losing arguably our most important player, which has ruled him out of the next few games over something that was completely avoidable is a bit of a blow.
