Got suckered and hopefully he won't let that happen again; although the ref wasn't particulary brilliant in the Forest game either. We did miss him in the Arsenal game.

If we are blaming him for the 3 losses without him we seriously have a bigger problem on our hands tactically and from a squad perspective.

No team should ever be that reliant on one player.
It's not that we're only reliant on Rodri, it's that Rodri did something stupid when we also had injuries to Kovacic, De Bruyne, Stones, and Grealish. It's meant that we've had to play different formations we're not used to and rely on players who are just coming into the side (Nunes). We'd have been able to cope without Rodri if Stones, Kovacic, De Bruyne, etc. were fit but his red card against Forest was a really pointless and damaging thing to do.

Rodri is more important than any of them (only KDB and Dias get somewhat close to how important Rodri is for this team). Kovacic has been available for a week now. Stones hasn't played a match and we did well without him. After these 3 matches, anyone not thinking Rodri is our best player has a real big problem.

Rodri is absolutely our best and most important player. I'm not saying he isn't. But we would have ridden the storm better if several things hadn't all happened at the same time, like his red card coming when Kovacic was injured, when Stones was injured, when Grealish and De Bruyne were injured, when Nunes was bedding his way in and when Bernardo wasn't quite fit enough. Our midfield was literally just Lewis and Akanji the other night ffs.

Add to all this the fact that we've just had four away games against Newcastle, Wolves, Arsenal, and Leipzig all the space of a few days and it's easy to see why so many mounting problems have ended up costing us. If we'd had four home games against Luton, Sheffield Wednesday, Young Boys, and Bournemouth, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Which is why Rodri deserves stick for getting himself sent off when we were heading into two difficult weeks.

After Kevin he's our most important player. Just his presence is a massive miss. But we still should have enough to beat Arsenal who haven't exactly shone this season.

He's more important than Kevin. We had 15 shots on target at West Ham several weeks ago. When Rodri plays we tend to create chances for fun, no matter whether Kevin plays or not.
