be nice of the club to let the supporters know when he is likely to return or seriousness of the injury instead of vague comments which seems to be the norm when our players get injured.
"The extent of his layoff depends on how well he responds to the rehabilitation programme overseen by the Club’s medical staff"

If they said "2 - 14 weeks" would it actually be any better?

We only play one league game between now and Oct 19th due to the international break. Hopefully it's not too serious and he only misses the Wolves game. Even without De Bruyne, we should be able to beat them at home.
Agreed, just hold him out, get through those two games, and if it's mild as suggested he should be back after the break.

Agreed. Given our continuing bad luck and what happened last year it'll be easy to get dramatic about it, but knocks and strains resulting in a player missing a cup/league game is run of the mill.

Look on the bright side. No international football and we might get a fully rested Kev along with Stones after the international break.

Won the league last year with him not playing 75 percent of the time. Bernardo and Dave back in the middle will be worth a watch.

"Kevin De Bruyne suffered a groin injury in the win over Everton and will miss tonight’s game against Dinamo Zagreb.
The extent of his layoff depends on how well he responds to the rehabilitation programme overseen by the Club’s medical staff.

The Belgian has been superb for City so far this season, registering a remarkable nine assists in nine games.

Everyone at City wishes Kevin a speedy recovery and we all look forward to seeing back in blue soon."

Do we normally issues press releases when a player misses 1 game?

Sounds like it might be more serious.
