Much debate over the 2019/20 player of the season and if he is worth a place in our team or if we can accomodate his style into our first eleven , what a nice conundrum to have , we are going to be f*cked if Messi decides to join.

KDB is a high risk player in that he's in the side to provide the magic. He sees passes others don't and can win a game with one moment of magic. A game changer. The downside is if he gets caught out he isn't the fastest tracking back and it can leave us vulnerable to being counter attacked. Like a lot of flair players when he's good he's very very good but when he's bad he's horrid and yesterday was a bad day.

Manager's will always want to get such players into their side and he has been fantastic for is on the whole. At nearly 30 now do we offer him a huge new contract or cash in and rebuild? Tough call.

Selling him isn't an option - the problem is that both Gundogan and Kev aren't as good as Bernardo
when it comes to first touch and keeping the ball under a pressure. Yesterday team struggled without
Bernardo in that component..

So if he plays as LCM like he did against Wolves and Bernardo plays as RCM - we are much stronger and there is also a big space for improvement and that's why Kev is better option than Gundogan on that position..

---------------------Ederson-------------------------------
Walker-----Ruben----------Stones/Laporte---Cancelo
----------------------Rodri----------------------------------
----Bernardo/Foden-----------Debruyne/Gundogan---
Sterling/Mahrez---Jesus/Aguero--Foden/Sterling----

That's our best team and I don't think someone needs to go..

Pep just needs to know that Debruyne and Gundogan together won't work against tough opponents,
you need someone who has skills in small spaces.

Kdb should play the mahrez role on the right mahrez been great last couple of games problem is he can only play one position!! We have Foden Kdb who can play in a few positions. When we play mahrez pep will never switch him with Sterling because he knows mahrez can’t play left! It’s weird he teaches Foden to play multiple positions but we have mahrez who in theory is one dimensional as one position player great at it for sure.
So pathetic, KDB had a stinker. He gave the ball away every single time in the first half and yet you scapegoat Mahrez. He was for god sake our best forward, you must be blind to ignore that ! All pundits and even opposition fans saw it except some city fans or I would call them Mahrez/ Gundo haters. The fact of the mattef is we were better off without KDB and the winning streak was achieved without him. Stats don’t lie.

I agree that Mahrez was our best attacker and I agree that KDB was awful, but to say the winning run was achieved without KDB is not true. You say “stats don’t lie” but maybe you do! KDB missed just 7 of the 21 wins.

kdb doesnt fit the way the team is playing at the moment or more accurately doesnt fit into a midfield 3 along with rodri and Gundogan.....that combination at the start of the season saw some very poor performances and since his return to the lineup, the performance level has been dropping.

This is not purely down to KDB but more a question of the combination of the right 3 in midfield and the right 3 in front of them.....Sterling ahs been well fo it lately and Mahrez is just an enigma who occasionally turns up and then next game doesnt.

Bernardo and Foden need to start

Could KDB play the deeper lying role

-------------------------Ederson-------------------

-----Walker/Cancello----Stones-----Dias---------Zinchenko/Cacenllo-

-----------------Rodri-------- KDB------------

Sterling/Torres--------Bernardo----------Foden---

-------------------------Kun/Jesus------------------

Harsh on gundogan but IF KDB plays then its either at the expense of Gundogan or Rodri (with GUndogan taking his spot) - Im not sure that works however. In the set up above, Bernardo swap places with KDB as well
I would not bench Gundo by any means ! The guy proved his worth lately and played a pivotal role in our ascesion. Kev should be used slowley and wisely until he regain his form, otherwise we should not play him to the detriment of our recent outstanding momentum.
