Poor? Not sure what game you were watching in the second half as Kev provided an assist and was unlucky not to score with the shot that hit the post.
He will always get a decent shot off over 90 mins. His free kick for the goal was welcome after a fair few poor deliveries before that,
I guess my expectations from him are more than a couple of moments of quality in an otherwise fairly poor showing.

He was our most dangerous player in the second half. His performance wasn't as good as Chelsea game but second half he played well, certainly not poor imo. He has had a very stop and start season, but he is good form currently

It's not worth arguing over tbh but I believe his reputation and past form gives him a pass too often.

Just the 2 assists and goal in his last 3 games, assists and goal which have gained us points. What more do you want?
It's a valid argument, he is a player who can produce moments that no others can and its why I loathe to criticise because he's got a way of throwing it back in your face and making you look foolish.
I just can't escape the fact that I think his general play has been poor to average for a while now, decent stats notwithstanding.

General play doesn't get you points. He has stepped up when others haven't recently. Simple as that really.

It is i agree and it's not really a subject that I'm willing to go all in on because the games about fine margins and Kev has produced at times when nobody else has.
I'm not just going to dismiss the fact I don't think he's been great though.

We had 6 big chances to score. 3 of those come from KDB, and that happens pretty much every week. Just like we don’t rate Bernardo on how much chances he creates, you cannot rate KDB based on %passes or his pressing. His job is creating big chances for the team and he is by far the best in our team for that.

Who doesn't rate him? He's fucking ace, you'd have to be an idiot to think otherwise. I just don't think he's been at his best for a bit now. I've already conceded that the arguments in his favour are many, I'm not trying to make anybody change their minds about him! Haha!

Needs to sort his fitness out. His legs can't be going with 15 minutes to go.

Really didn't like his attitude/body language once Salisu tackled him and that failure to beat the first man from a corner in the last seconds is absolutely criminal.

There were good moments but i do feel our control of the game goes a bit array when he is on the pitch.

It's not as if he strutted around all game and looked unfit, he ran his absolute arse off trying to drag us to a victory, he had every reason to look like he was on his last legs.

As for us losing control when he's on the pitch, somebody has to take a chance, if he didn't and everybody just played it safe like others, we would never break teams down. He's in the team to create, he creates. Without him, we would have just gone 2 games without scoring.

Still a wonderful player who will produce moments of genius. However,he no longer dominates the midfield with his previous 90 min powerhouse performances. His inclusion also leads to several other players, notably Phil and Bernie, but also Rodri and Grealish, only producing 80/90% of their best because of the square peg problem.

Totally agree, still moments of genius but with Grealish still learning we are carrying two players and it shows at times , and more importantly as you say, it puts too much on the shoulders of the rest of the team.

Physically KDB does not look good at all, more than ankle issues for me, he looks so laboured.

Yep,he's heavy and awkward, and he gets shrugged off the ball far more than he used to.

The video of him on the pitch with his kids says everything, even in that his movement looks so awkward, starting to wonder if he has back issues, the way he is running it looks that way.

The way he came out second half angry and with a point to prove is where we need his head to be from the start. I obviously dont know, but i would hazard a guess that Pep had a few harsh words to say to him at half time .
