There is not a chance on this earth that Salah won't win it regardless of what the dippers do/don't win or whether or not he deserves it based on stats/performances. Sergio for years was the best of player in the league and got virtually no recognition for it it terms of awards so why would Kev. The decision priority process goes something like:

Do they play for United or Liverpool? > Do they play for city (if so, is there anyone from another team we could possibly give it to?) > Have they statistically had the best season?

His goal vs Chelsea at the Etihad pretty much sums up his importance for us this season. He deserves it more than any other player on the shortlist.

Voted for by the impartial public. That always generates a good fair result. So liverpool fans will all vote for Salah regardless of the fact he's been bang average for the last 4 months. Nothing more than a popularity contest.
