Bernardo and Rodri have been good all season, de Bruyne has set the highest bar with his 2022 performance levels (but he was poor in the Autumn).

No problem with some of those names but how’s someone like Saka on there when he was awful for months to start the season and Connor Gallagher has been magic all season isn’t even on there. Gallagher is the best player City have faced this season. He’s been better than Ward Prose and Bowen n’all.

There’s no way that group of players have been better than Bernardo and Rodri though.

I think it's the usual lazy nomination process all these awards have.

With regards to the last point, I think with this award being a fan vote there's been an effort to make sure the nominees come from a few different clubs to ensure that there's a bit more voting. Otherwise it'd just be a mix of City and Liverpool players.

Beckham was a great player for the rags but de bruyne can play anywhere in midfield and any forward position can use both feet and take players on and has been the best midfielder for the past 4 years in the world……Something beckham could only dream of!

Yes for consistency across the whole season, Bernardo comes before Kevin for me.
