The information I received about his personal family issues was correct and the rumours about him not being full fit were also accurate.

He is a club legend and deserves far more credit than English media are willing to give him.

If he played for Real Madrid or Bayern he would be in the conversation for one of the best ever players.

He is, by the way, they just won’t say it.

And to think, what goes for sport journalism in this country, not once, not once!!!, voted him Player of the Month (but watch them swoon over him any chance they get). Disgusting, actually.

He's not got a grade 3 tear. Christ, that's a total rupture where one/multiple parts of the muscle-tendon junction are also ripped completely off the bone as well as all the way down the muscle length. Grade 3 requires extensive surgery where they have to cut you open and tie the muscle back on, usually with tendonous tissue from another body part or person (i.e. Nicky Weaver - had parts of his hamstring repaired frlm thr tendons from a dead person!).

Grade 3 would probably mean most part of year out and a solid stint on crutches. From what he's said he's had multiple small tears which barely class as grade one, then as a result only partially healed small tears, it's caused a more traumatic tear to develop. Won't be anything worse than grade 2 max. Still requires a lot of healing time though.
