He is starting to reach Zidane level for me. This has to be KDB's year...
Said this to my pal earlier; ridiculous when you think about it but he’s the best deliverer of the ball/assist maker the game has seen in this country, I’d even say across world footballHe is starting to reach Zidane level for me. This has to be KDB's year...
In this country for sure, but world football has seen some great players.Said this to my pal earlier; ridiculous when you think about it but he’s the best deliverer of the ball/assist maker the game has seen in this country, I’d even say across world football
He surely has to smash his own and Henry record this year?
Phenomenal tonight.
Looks and played like a man who has just had a big weight taken off his shoulders.
Love him to bits and he’s up there as our greatest ever player. However, during the world cup he was horrendous. I think he might have at set a record in a game for the most misplaced passes and stats aside against Canada watching the game countless times he played really poor passes. Once he had such an easy obvious pass on to send someone clear through and went for the more difficult pass, which he completely fluffed.Lots of mentions in press and around this forum that Kev had a poor World Cup and that today he played so much better. Don't think that is right - what I saw of him in the World Cup was similar to this - all action, driving forward, sending brilliant passes - the difference was that he didn't have players who could receive the passes and do something with them - It must be so frustrating threading a ball through to Batshuayi only to see it miscontrolled, and it happened time and again.
Today he had players who can receive a ball and do something with it - Haaland's movement for the first goal - without that, it could have been a poor cross to nowhere, the constant interplay with Ilkay and Palmer, the run by Ake to be in the right place for the third goal - they all make Kev better than the brilliant player he already us.
I think we need to replace him.
We need to ensure we don't end up in the same place as the rags and let too many players get too old before we blood new ones in.
