Lots of mentions in press and around this forum that Kev had a poor World Cup and that today he played so much better. Don't think that is right - what I saw of him in the World Cup was similar to this - all action, driving forward, sending brilliant passes - the difference was that he didn't have players who could receive the passes and do something with them - It must be so frustrating threading a ball through to Batshuayi only to see it miscontrolled, and it happened time and again.

Today he had players who can receive a ball and do something with it - Haaland's movement for the first goal - without that, it could have been a poor cross to nowhere, the constant interplay with Ilkay and Palmer, the run by Ake to be in the right place for the third goal - they all make Kev better than the brilliant player he already us.

The grumpy bastard is back, what a performance. Three or four incredible deliveries - probably more! Worked his arse off to win that game. If he can keep ticking like that then watch the 5pt gap turn into a 5pt lead pretty quick!

Love him to bits and he’s up there as our greatest ever player. However, during the world cup he was horrendous. I think he might have at set a record in a game for the most misplaced passes and stats aside against Canada watching the game countless times he played really poor passes. Once he had such an easy obvious pass on to send someone clear through and went for the more difficult pass, which he completely fluffed.

It’s great that he’s hit the ground running again and he’s amazing but despite what media( unusually say for a City player) he can have an absolute shocker every few weeks. Unfortunately for Belgium he had 3 on the bounce.

He was putting in some exceptional balls all night. The one for ake which was saved was out of this world
