Of course we can leave him out. We absolutely should not be playing him every week, he should be rotated and fresher for when we need him.

He’s played 10 full 90 minutes in 17 Prem games this season, two further games where he’s only been subbed on 88 minutes, started 16 of 17 Prem games, played a part in every Prem game (the one rest he got he still came on for 25 minutes)… that’s not good use of a 31 year old who’s had a career plagued by bad injuries and who has looked absolutely knackered and even very poor at times this season.

He should be in the Chariman’s Suite with his feet up on a chair on Sunday.
I think this is the key with KDB. He needs to be rested when needed and we can do it more easily now because we have Haaland. He played great v dippers and ok v Leeds. No need for him to play v Everton. Play yesterday and then sit out the 2 cup games so he can be ready for the rags.
Also from what I watched he worked very hard last night chasing and trying to press but I accept there are games when almost everything doesn’t go to plan

KDB for me looks jaded and a little bit tired need to rest him for Sunday and give him some time to recover.

He played a half in a team that was playing woefully, first few minutes he put a through ball for Alvarez and was looking for Harland with his trade mark whip across the box.HE NEEDS A REST!But if resting him no one stands up we have to throw him in and he becomes jaded again.Let’s not slag off one of the worlds best midfielders because he couldn’t engineer a comeback from that sham logic first half.

Agree .. but he was still shite ;-)

Perhaps others like Foden, Bernardo etc could help out.

At the World Cup where apparently he was poor all I saw in Belguims final game was KDB creating a lot of chances.

He’s not a machine and others need to step up including Pep who needs to get the team playing a little more pace.

One of the few players who actually cares and has that drive to win games, but he's bang out of form at the moment. He had a whinge at Foden, through frustration, when he played an abysmal return ball to him in our box. But then he still plays a wonderful ball that Haaland was a bit slow (by his standards) to anticipate and that Bazuma read well. I feel like we'll see him step up a gear on Saturday.
