Oof... There's no denying it's a big blow... but as I mentioned before these are the moments that Phil HAS to take advantage of if he wants to play centrally versus on the wing long term. It's big shoes to fill but I have full confidence that he can take advantage of a bad situation and help us have another great year.

The only positive in this is that KDB could get a couple of months away from the game and complete rest, something for me he has needed for a long time.

Even if we get Paqueta it's a huge blow, maybe it will change the opinion of letting Palmer go, or maybe we may be looking to bring another in as well as Paqueta and Doku.

this surgery should have been done next day after the CL final.
This is probably a worse tear (not an expert) so that is probably why surgery might be the best option. The doctors and medical team are not going to take huge risks so if surgery was required last time he would have had it.

Massive blow. On a positive note after Kev got injured we went more narrow and had our fullbacks provide width, we looked good and created plenty. So without Kev another system shift may be on the horizon so we could look to get a good fullback in?(though Gvardiol was getting forward well on the left, so instead might have to spend more time out there).

Gutted but hopefully this would stop any recurrences of the injury from happening and get him back for the business end of the season
