There's going to come a time (in 12-18 months' time? ) when the club will need to be looking at potential successors to Kev. That hamstring may (repeat, may) well be a weak point from now on, even after surgery. Plus, he's 32 now. How much longer will he have, playing at the intensity Pep demands from his players?

I hope he’s not going the way Aguero went in his last season here. Hopefully this surgery Kev has can fix the issue completely

No we'll be fine, Phil, Bernardo , Kovacic, and hopefully Paqueta we should be covered and he'll be fit second half of the season, fitter than he was the back end of last season.
One newbie with terrible assists and goals stats compared to kev and one we havent even signed yet, phil might help out but bernie is not played in the kev position nor is as good as kev , no way to look at this but a diaster , without gundy and ffs we are in the shit

Gutted. Hope you recover soon Kev . Trust in Pep and the lads… Kalvin get off your arse so Rodders can move up the pitch!!

If you thinks so, I'm pretty sure we'll be okay.Guess we'll see.

Terrible news. Get well soon kdb.

Hopefully it puts this problem to rest once he has the surgery.

No point sugar coating it, big blow but we must try and find a solution to the problem.

Thank fuck Bernie stayed.

This is a huge problem, title becomes much harder now, need to get bodies in asap

We'll be fine. We've been fine without him before, we'll be fine without him again. Get him rested and back for the second half of the season. We've got roughly 18 months left before he starts dropping off - it's best to sacrifice the first 2/3 months so we're not seeing him walk off so often. Best of luck getting fit again, Kev - we'll see you when you're back.

Fine without him before because we had gundy

Like everyone I'm really gutted that he will miss half a season. However, on a positive note this maybe the only way to finally fix the injury. He's clearly tried to play on in the hope it would not pop again and that hasn't worked. I'm still sure he will have an impact when he does eventually return. He will hopefully not have the thought of it reoccurring in his mind and in the long run this may even extend his playing career.

There will be an urgency to get another midfielder in now so better to know that than piss around until the window shuts. Also the team will adapt and maybe this will mean keeping McAtee as well as signing Paqueta. Kev is not replaced rather we will change slightly the way we attack - good news we have a manager that can do that in a heartbeat. Things are going to be alright.
