I love watching Kev play so much, even when things are not going so well, and so a potential long-term absence is so disappointing.
After missing out in the CL final, which must have been difficult for him, and then his return before the reported time, this is latest setback is so disappointing and frustrating. But hopefully the chance for a decent rest and recuperation will help him.
I think being overplayed for Belgium by Martinez, and his own desire to play for his country has contributed to too much football for him to rest properly.
I know the club will give him the best advice and treatment plan so that he can hopefully come back and carry on playing at his peak with his level of brilliance being apparent.

Tough hearing this Kdb news at the start of the season. In Retrospect its easy to say he should've had surgery after the final but we have an elite medical team who do a very good job. Im sure he'll have the surgery to resolve the issue completely and contrary to others opinions I think he can play at the highest level at 35-36 like Fernandinho and Modric.
Might shock a few but I feel Rodri is our most creative player now, the player that can dictate play and control the game from central, I'm not convinced Phil has the physicality, tactical awareness or temperament to take control of the game centrally, RW is where he's most effective for now.
Pep will tweak the system, we'll definitely be more methodical in our play without Kdb, Paqueta and Doku may come in, but after watching the other teams this weekend, come January we'll be top of the league.

Always plays full throttle and always wants to play, bless him, but together we’ve flogged his body near into the ground and probably should have had an extra midfielder in last season. I know it would have been difficult to accommodate another, but so often he and Gundogan looked to be on their chinstraps, and there is something of an inevitability about this injury now.

However, still feel we are set quite well...really need Foden to grab this opportunity with both hands
Paqueta and Doku definitely a must now
Am slightly worried about Kev long term, he's 32 and has had a lot of injuries in the past, and this is a bad one. Hope he's the same player when he gets back

That was a shocker but with good treatment he will be fully fit and ready to help.
So he should take his time and return to his 100 % best!
But now we have to acquire Paqueta immediately! And Doku of course and Silva has to stay(it seems he will stay).
We will have many trouble to cover KDB's creativity and forward play and we will possibly struggle a lot in that area, our other players realyl lack creativity and attacking ideas and forward play, with some exceptions as some give form time to time some drops of creativity in the center, but generally we will suffer. Let's hope Pep will find a way to cover it as much as possible.

Huge blow and a massive boost to any potential challengers, we lack creativity without him. Theres only foden in the squad now who is going to do something outside of the safety first training ground possession routines we see from the likes of Bernardo and Grealish.
Aside from this happening in June, it's the best time for it to happen if it was going to happen at all though. Gives us the opportunity to prepare for most of the season without him, it happening in a few weeks time once the window closes would have been a complete disaster.
4 months out is going to mean another month to get upto fitness once he is fit, which puts him back for the business end of the season but we need to make sure we're still involved with everything by then.
A replacement is an absolute necessity and it's arguable 2 are needed seeing as we were already short in that area and were yet to see how fit kovacic will stay after several injury hit seasons at chelsea.
