The way he just engineers his own space is so talented, seems to find himself with half a football pitch and 2-3 defenders to run at.

The weight of the pass from the free-kick for our 2nd last night was simply sensational ….. I can’t think of any other player in the world who could’ve timed that to perfection like Kev.

Kev was class but the concern for me is he has a free role that leaves gaps & against better teams it will be an issue.

Rodri was left alone a few times v Burnley as both Kev & Nunes were flying forward.

I would rather Kova alongside Rodri in big games to cover kevs freedom

Phil was a little isolated at times too. I would like to see them try Phil and Kev as AM's with Rodri behind supported by John stepping out of defence. Bernie and Jack wide and Erling in the middle. That might be a team that handles the bigger games.

We might see that against teams that park the bus especially when we're at home but against the better teams I think we're more likely to see a midfield of Rodri, Bernardo and KDB.

Not as involved obviously but I thought he was solid and played a crucial part in the opening goal.
Yes. I have this dream of he and Kevin in combination being almost unplayable. In some ways I would almost like to see Kev wider than Phil, particularly now Haaland is back. We are blessed though with so many wonderful players that are pretty much interchangeable. For me though, Phil is more effective in the middle.

I fucking love him , the hair has to go though !
We're so lucky to have the likes of KDB, Haaland, Foden, Rodri, Silva and others in our squad. Each of them perennial Ballon D'or nominees and I'll bet that one or more of them bag the trophy during their career at City.

And what makes all of them even more special is their selfless team chemistry. All of them get along well with their teammates and contribute to a healthy atmosphere, work ethic, and drive to be the best. And most of this is down to Pep and upper management - not only picking talented players - but players who contribute towards team harmony.

Another 90 mins under his belt and another assist. Ominous for the rest of the League that there is more to come from him this season.

Looked like he was feeling it a bit today. That burst of power wasnt quite there either. Will do him good in the long run though, probably exactly what he needed to help him go from being fit, to match fit. A fit kdb in thr back end of the season is a rarity for us and could be monumental.

Hardly a surprise but we're so much more creative as a team with him orchestrating things. We were getting results without him but it felt like a struggle to create chances at times. The last few games our attacking play just feels a lot more fluid and we're back to consistently building pressure on teams until they can't live with us.

Just wonderful to have him back and getting a full 90.
He has come back better than any lay off in the past.
He used to come back struggling to get to the pace for a few games.
Must be the long extended break has worked wonders and may actually be a great thing in extending his career long term.
However, I’m sure in the next international break, Belgium will flog him to death.

Normally takes him a few games to find his rhythm but he been on it since he stepped back on the pitch v newcastle.

Thought he was a bit up and down last night. Felt like he was forcing it a bit sometimes. Even the opening goal came from him looking for a cross that wasn't on. But all he needs is one moment to change things really and that's what he did in the second half. So glad he's back.
