overplaying him (like 3 starts in 7 days) wont do good for him. we took ages to play him after he was training for weeks, now we do the opposite and overplay him. imo another injury is likely next 3 weeks for him
TBH it is a bit unfair to blame them. They have to defend and protect the back line. they don't have the license to do minimum defending. Given the current situation they were constantly running up and down for the back line and pressing the opposite players. Otherwise they will put the defense at risk. The players who do not drop deep should make forward runs.Bernado, Gundo, Grealish and Rico have no interest in making cutting runs constantly. They all want it to feet, often in stationary positions

We'll do what we did when replacing Kompany, Yaya, Fernandinho, Silva, and Aguero with Dias, De Bruyne, Rodri, Foden, and Haaland. Isn’t it more likely he get injured when he’s not up to speed with the game and you bring him on then? Or are you talking give him an hour then take him off? Which used to happen quite often. Prior to this rut we find ourselves in!However shitty we are at the moment, we really shouldn’t be forcing all these minutes out of him. Haven’t we learned anything from his on-off appearances in recent years?
He can only do it in flashes. If he’s not used sparingly he’ll soon be out again long term and those flashes will be a distant memory.
