This thread, man. Utterly baffling.

If KDB is still miles off his best in a month when he’s regained match fitness, then we’ll all have the conversation about him being over the hill.

He had no movement to work with yesterday, so he wasn’t likely to create much, fit or unfit.

There's a number of posters who have lost their damn minds.

Abusing or over the top criticism of all the players, Pep and the club.

Getting out out of hand on here.

I think sentimentality is clouding some posters judgement on De Bruyne. Been a world class player and so important to our success but age and injuries have caught up with him. I don't want to see him regress further and watch him struggle next season like Gundo is struggling this season. Best to let him go in the summer I think.

Should have left last summer. But will definitely leave after the season. Greatest ever player at City. But his time as a consistent top player has come to an end.

I dont think he is finished I don't think he should be let go. But the club must change the way of using him and manage the minutes. The game plan should be around how to play WITHOUT him and only bring him on in the 2nd half if things do not work out. It does not help him or anyone the way it is now.

Pretty sure we will release him the summer.

Its obvious the squad needs a major overhaul and KDB won't be part of it come seasons end.

He has been a great contributor but when the body says its had enough you have to listen to it.

if it were possible he should have been released and replaced during last summer but it wasn't to be.

You don't want a player like KDB coming off the bench when things are not working , probably not even when things are working.

We need real quality , power , pace and an eye for a consistent pass , KDB was all that and more but not anymore.

Kev was never getting on that pitch today and the game was written off for him to ensure as much rest as possible ahead of Everton.
