17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2024/25

Give him the Messi role. Let him walk about but get him the ball in dangerous areas.

Did more in 10 minutes than anybody else on that pitch today. All by essentially being stationed at right wing.

Barca when Messi was walking about: lost 3:0 at Roma, 4:0 at Liverpool and 8:2 from Bayern.

Given that Haaland isn't the best presser, to have another such player would be a bit too much.

Play the ones who can run.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think Kevin is the answer anymore..

Usually when he's been injured and comes back, he is absolutely terrible till he's terrific but he's got 1 thing that very few players in the league do.. his shots and passes are lightning quick and impossible to block.

Today he was blocked constantly.. was almost like Jack Grealish's crossing always finding thighs and shins.

I'd love to be wrong but it seems he's lost that lightning quickness that he had.. and his whole game was built around that. :(
I'm not sure that's true. He unlocked their defence at least twice with passes no one else in our midfield would even think about never mind see and execute. On another day Haaland probably puts his one away.

A 60% for De Bruyne came on and made the rest of the team look like a joke. He’s by far our best attacking player still.

Let’s hope he gets fit and has a season like last season. He got more assists per minute in the 18 games he played last season than anyone in PL history.

A half fit kdb is comfortably more of a threat than anybody else in our squad. There's no concerns about his ability, just need to get him fit and on the pitch. Doesn't need 90 minutes to make an impact
