17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2024/25

You think Pep would play him if it was going to cause further issues?

He has left out Stones, Ake , Akanji and Dias to save them and get their benefit long term and not to push them whilst carrying niggles.

Pep's press conferences where he questioned KDB's injury was telling for me and very out of character with the great man.

I think us not offering a new deal has pissed off KDB.
Oh ffs. Shut up with this constant crap, are you just posting that he is a **** to get a reaction or are you just vile

ffs he's been training over a month and still injured? last week he told he doesn't feel any pain anymore. i feel like atp the next time when he will start the game will be like last year after his hamstring. time to move on

Calm down, if you believe Pep would play any player and risk aggravating an injury for the sake of 10/15 mins in a game we have already lost you need to think about what your posting.

You have a very short memory, remember Claudio Bravo, a player you utterly vilified in a truly disgusting way?

He has to play some mins of a game and see how it feels , he is coming back from a bad one and it will take time

Did i call bravo a **** for playing football ? The fact you think calling one of the top two best players who ever pulled on our shirt , a **** is disgusting

You attitude to Bravo was shameful.

There has to be something in the rumours of a fall out with Pep nothing else explains his lack of minutes when he’s fit

Yeah refusing to bring him on until we're two down suggests something is wrong.

Maybe there’s a simpler explanation. Like his body is fcuked and the best we can get out of him is a few minutes?

Been overplayed by club and country for several years when he needed nursing. Perhaps it’s now caught up big time,

"Palmer, delap, rogers, hardwood bellis, bynoe-gittens, frimpong, lavia, porro, nmecha, douglas luiz... the list goes on."

Those players left at a level way off their present levels, Luiz had to leave because of a work permit issue.

Lavia has taken 3 seasons to get up to a PL level, Frimpong still not sure, Palmer was a freak situation that nobody could have predicted, he he must be surprised how well his move has gone.

Delap was struggling for goals and games at Stoke and Hull.
Were they all way off their current levels though? Or were they just afforded chances to play and show what they can do?

My point is we were happy to shell £50m on doku, £55m on Nunes, £45m on Philips - who were all unproven to play at citys level when signed - instead of affording more chances to the likes of palmer, lavia and so on.

When Madrid or the like sell a promising academy player most of the time they include some kind of buy back option/clause.

It's my opinion we've made errors in managing youth outgoings on top of a lack of quality signings over probably the last 4 or 5 years excluding dias, haaland and rodri.

Luckily we have had a very strong core squad which has led us to the success we've achieved but the cycle with those players is looking like it has now come to an end.

A fair few players on that list would still be squad players with limited playing time even this season. Certainly not players who you'd be hoping would get you to the final stages of the CL. Ultimately any player who leaves our academy will be the best player in a struggling PL side.
You mean similar to the likes of Nunes, Doku, Savinho and Philips then? Those 4 alone signed for over £180m.

Can you not see my point?

Harsh to include Doku and Savinhi. 22 and 20 so lots of time to develop and improve. We will reap the benefit in time. How old were mane and Salah when they really peaked? Let’s invest in them. The others you can have!
