17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2024/25

I cant wait for him to come back and shove his boot up some of your arses
Sorry its not happening, guy is shot and hasn't been able to shift the weight he put on while injured. A clear indication he isn't able to join in the endurance type training an elite athlete needs .

He is not over weight for a start , he has only been leaner when he came back after his op, he will be back , one game a week will do , he still has the magic we need , nobody else can do it

Look at any picture of him from the treble season and compare to now, carrying at least a stone excess and has been since his first injury

Admittedly only paper talk but I'd heard he was open to a move but the club weren't keen on it happening, and the figure being mentioned (£100m) certainly wasn't a "token amount"

Bernie has also quite clearly wanted to move for a couple of seasons now but the club have effectively prevented it from happening... and we're now left with a player who, for whatever reason, looks a shadow of what he's previously been.

So your notion of the club always respecting the wishes of players doesn't really stand up to scrutiny.
Whilst i don't agree with kaz's 'token amount' claim, we will let anyone go who brings our stated amount to the table. The players are aware of this and should be taking it in to consideration when negotiating a move to another club. If they really wanted to move, then it is their failure to do that, that is the reason why they're still here

Not true , i have never seen him leaner than when he came back after the op a few months back , he is coming off a big injury , he was always going to find it hard with new niggles , most players find that happens . He wants to play and knowing kev he is working really hard to get fit again

He has been written off so many times over the years , sergio was the same but they always shut people up

Maybe he has an injury (which he has discussed) that is not getting better very quickly, because it’s about the mechanics of kicking the ball?!
Just sounds a little far fetched. I’d doubt they would bring him off the bench for 20 minute cameos and expose him to kicking a ball if a real issue. Generally we wait and let things heal. Seems more at play to me.

Sounds, doubt, if, generally, seems.

Yeah, you sound like you’ve got some solid facts there on which to build a hypothesis that refutes what the player himself has said.

Let’s go with your version. After all, it’s not like you haven’t sacrificed your body for this team, this manager and us fans, is it?

Yep, they’re hiding something and Kev is lying to the world because…well, I’m not exactly sure, but it makes perfect sense…our star midfielder is feigning an injury when we desperately need him.

Yep, that rings true. That must be it.

You’re a Fairground Carnie, aren’t you?

“Roll up! Roll up!
I can guess your weight within 3 kilos or you win a prize! Step on the scale for £1 and win a 50p cuddly toy if I’m wrong!”

Do you honestly think he’s carrying 7 kilos of excess weight, but still getting a game while half fit?

It’s a fucking clown show on here these days.

Show a little respect for some of these players, who have sacrificed their bodies to give you your jollies!

Some people really can't see the wood for the trees.

He has been an outstanding footballer. Best midfielder the league has seen. But he is not a robot.

No footballer is immune from aging. He is another one like Gundogan who is truly showing his age. Injuries have also brought the axe down on his best days.

As soon as some people come to turns with reality the better.
