You dont have the right to abuse your own team players when you are at a game ,you are there to support not gobbing off, especially kev who is trying his best . I am glad they tell the crowd to fuck off like aleks used to do. For one thing you are putting them off !

Stripping it down to the simplest form. I’d argue that money-paying fans have more leeway in that argument than the players who are paid handsomely to perform.

Agreed. Players shouldn’t be ‘abused’ but fans are well within their rights to voice displeasure. Otherwise, what’s the point? Football is about emotion. Players thrive off positive energy when they’re playing well but don’t want negative energy when they’re underperforming? Not for me.

And the displeasure - not abuse - was exactly what Walker was getting yesterday. Not after his first fuck up. Not after his second fuck up. Not after his third fuck up. But after his fourth fuck up - which led to another goal down his side to which Pep berated him - at which point he didn’t even look arsed. He’s not looked arsed all season.

So the fans, who are spending their hard earned money to go and sit there and watch a player continuously fuck up, making the same mistakes over and over and over again and not do anything to correct himself - and instead look like a sulking child - are well within their rights to let him know their thoughts. And they don’t then need Kev, who’s walked about for 96 minutes, gesticulating towards them for doing so.
