Why doesn’t he play further back almost like the Rodri role, he doesn’t have to run up and down all day, just pick the ball up and spray it around instead of trying to run his arse into the ground. Personally I think City won’t offer him anything now,his wages will pay for two really good players and we move on.
 
farewells are hard, but in this case he would be welcome, Kev is our GOAT, but physically he is no longer able to deliver what we as a club need, even though he still has some magic left

The glaring issue from yesterday and the last few months is we are so open to the counter. Sitting Kev deeper results in a player who doesn’t have the legs to track runners.

You can’t be sentimental in football otherwise you end up with the issue what we have now where we have 4-5 players that have been outstanding for City over the last few years. They need to move on and fresh personnel brought in.

We’ve been blessed having someone like David Silva and then Kevin De Bruyne providing the creative spark over the years. It’s going to be a monumental task replacing them.
 
I was pretty close to where Kev was gesticulating at the fan. Looked more like a shut up than a fuck off gesticulation to me.

I think he was right to support Walker. Walker was poor but he's also a big part of why we've been so good. He clearly tries but his decision making is in a bad place and booing him won't help.

As for Kev , he had a few good passes and he never stopped running and trying for 90 minutes though overall it wasn't quite there for him like most of the team recently who after all the success they have given us these last few years deserve our support rather than our' boos because we've paid the money'

I just watched KDB post match interview and he was asked about the fans getting edgey

“ I don’t know why. I can understand we are not up to the level but they should know supporting us the effort is there 100% and we are still winning 4-1, so I don’t understand why that is happening [looks narked] Its not like they created a lot of chances either. So it is what it is. The team give maximum effort, the level needs to be higher but we understand that”
