Incredible player, the best of his generation in the role he plays. Laughable that people talk about Premier League greats and try to put Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes on his level. They're not even close and they were fine players, no doubt.

He's not replaceable but that's football, some players aren't. It doesn't mean you can't be a great team, you just have to be smart enough to have a different approach rather than directly attempt to replace someone that good.

Anyway, that's sport, no matter how good you once were, age or injuries gets them all in the end and things move on.

We just have to appreciate how lucky we were to have him for so long and in his prime because you don't get many of his calibre in the history of a club.

The de Bruynes were married in Sorrento, and he used to visit regularly when Dries Mertens was playing, who was hugely popular in Naples, so the family already have an affinity with the area. Would expect any deal there to be easily negotiated.
I knew me and Kev had more in common than I thought.

I am almost sure we will draw Napoli in CL and meet him again. will Rodders or Dias tackle him hard ?
I am sure Khusanov wouldnt hold back lol

hoe its a home game if it happens so a standing ovation can be done one more time for him.

Napoli will be in Pot3, Spurs is there too so we have 25% to get Napoli at the first draw.

As long as he hasn’t suffered another long term injury.

I started watching city around the time of the 16/17 season, Kev pretty much got me into football. It’s heartbreaking to have seen him slow down at a reasonably rapid rate this year. I know he was starting to decline last year but he was still class. If he hadn’t had that last injury spell it could have been different.

I can’t understand how people compare him with the other best premier league mids, I’ve watched them out of interest and they don’t compare . His stats speak for themselves and when you watch him, you see that he is a truly great and up there with the best European midfielders.

So many good moments, particularly one of the Arsenal (one where he chipped Ramsey) and Madrid matches fairly recently where he just dominated them. Those bursts of speed, the best passer of the ball (ever) and the cleanest hit on a strike. When he was younger, the ball would just go completely straight and lift into the top of the net.

I have no doubt we would not have won half the trophies without De Bruyne. He was the difference maker, the big game player who pulled city through the tough moments.

Hope he rips it up in Italy!

Good luck and thank you Kevin De Bruyne.
