To take a 17 year old's life because he's in a rival gang. Something I can't get my head around. And yes; I would guess that he was no little cherub. But that doesn't excuse his killing.

That’s why they say don’t carry knives. A scrap turns in a 15 year prison sentence and the unnecessary death of a young man

My mate is a barrister and was defending an alleged stabber, a fight turned into someone getting a knife out. As it happens no one died or was seriously injured but that was luck rather than judgement - it’s all such a waste and the only way out is education and opportunity not stop and search. Give people hope, is it that much to ask?

At least 2 lives ruined, for what?

The problem is that every young gang member won’t listen to the advice, as they’re worried their rivals will still have knives.
