17y-old John Guidetti: "I'll play in City this winter"

I went to watch the fa youth cup game vs swansea last year. He came on as a sub late in 2nd half and tbh i though mak and nimely were streets ahead.

He is a year younger to be fair to him.But yes your right about Mak and Nimley.

Guidetti scored another two goals today:

I was playing 5 a side football on Parrs Wood astro turf a while back (about a year) and these 2 kids come over with City training tops on asking if they could join in, one being John and the other Omar Ebdeloui, cant spell his name but he's the young Moroccan kid who's on our books. Played a bit of wembley doubles, and considering ive actually played with a few premiership footballers (my close friend) these kids were simply out of this world for there age, it was quite frightening. Supremely talented the pair of them, but i'd say Omar was slightly more technically gifted, with John looking the more likely to suit the english game. Obviously playing with us lot (semi-pro) theres a huge gulf in quality, but for two 15-year olds they were something else and i wouldnt write either off.

I know John well and he does live in Parrs Wood as per previous post re the kick around. John is a really nice lad with a lot of self belief - something which is encouraged in Sweden - unlike the UK where we knock confidence wherever we can. My mam is a neighbour of John's and he has had a few kickabouts with my two sons. He actually took one of my sons to the Arsenal game as he had a spare ticket. Lovely lad - lovely family. Certainly a prospect for the future so stop knocking our own youth players. I know for a fact that a lot of the biggest clubs in europe were chasing John when we signed him - especially Inter.

John was behind Mak, Nimely and Redshaw last year but they are two years older. John can play for the U18's for this year and next I think so has time on his side. Also think he was the youngest player ever to play in the Swedish prem.
