What's the quality of the shirt like? I haven't touched a new one yet.
Same as last year, it's not bad but nothing like the early Umbro kits.
Just checking prices at sports direct and the junior full strip (up to 8 years old) is cheaper from City store with a 10% discount using a seasoncard, if you can use the additional 10 % mentioned on here even better.

Annoying how the maroon trim and white collar keep being referred to as a 'nod' to the '68 kit, rather than, you know, the actual traditional City colours.
yeah, that's annoying. Just means they'll fuck with it again next year instead of sticking with it.

The colour is spot on. The white shorts are back, with sky blue socks and City have a proper crest again.
Could be out best ever kit in the modern era, save for a few Umbro did (we'll never see that quality again though. not kind on the big businesses to mass produce).

Well, much improved... but they had a million miles worth of ground to make up.
shorts good, socks good (though agree re: afterthought stripe)
Shirt is now passable but once again they manage to minimise the white trim to an absolute minimum almost trying to hide most of it under the arms.
They really have no aesthetic sense and should have passed the design job onto someone with more professional skill...like my 7 year old daughter.

thats what stands out for me on this kit, the badge looks great. with a proper kit it looks very old school.
