It is not going to be easy in keeping him at City. I still think Eddie still shades it for the overall team set up but can't really fault Ortega's shot stopping.

Another solid performance from Ortega Moreno. He can walk into any PL or CL team and make them better.

Give the man a deserved pay raise and get him to sign that contract extension.

Sadly this is probably correct. So hope he stays though. I have so much confidence in him.

As many have said, he's too good to be a second choice. Hope we can keep hold of him but I'd fully understand if he moved on to play every week somewhere.

He was brilliant again tonight and didn't put a foot wrong.

He might move on, but at 31 and playing at the best club in the world where's he going to go? Sure he could go back to Germany but his career there before City wasn't stellar. He's probably won more medals with us than he ever has done.

I think he will stick around. Ederson is 30 and there's every chance he will pick up more knocks etc.

This season I've seen Ederson sometimes switch off with slow passes or bad passes. I don't think he's undroppable anymore and I think if Ortega keeps playing the way he has, Ederson is going to have to be spectacular to win his place back.

Sadly, he’s got “Starting goalkeeper for a team with good chance of winning something” written all over him…but I hope he signs a 3 yr extension unless we’ve got a great young keeper we haven’t given away yet?!

He strikes me as a more intelligent keeper than Ederson. A cooler head under pressure is essential.

More he plays, the more likely it is he departs in the summer. We're quite lucky that a lot of top teams don't need a keeper right now so perhaps we can keep hold of him but there's a few options, wouldn't be surprised to see bayern come in for him depending on what manager ends up there.

Just don't sell him on the cheap. He's miles better than Raya who arsenal are obligated to buy for £30 million. We should be starting any bids at £40 million minimum.

I really rate Ortega, he's got great reactions. I even wonder if we might have won the CL a little earlier with him in nets? I don't see us going out away in Madrid in the semi with him in nets? Not sure if we would have beat Liverpool in the final though? It would have been very close...

According to the reports in the summer, Pep was debating giving Ortega the starting spot this season from the beginning, this could be his chance depending on how long Ederson is injured.

His performances will have given both Pep and Ederson something to think about IMO. He has been so good, I feel sorry he is the 2nd choice keeper.
