1894 Group: We need a big atmosphere next week v Spurs

As a one off match, Spurs at home in the quarter final of the champions league is a very attractive fixture. However, it's not a one off match. If we get to the final, that will be the 63rd game of the season. It's costing an absolute fortune. (600 euros for the most expensive tickets for the final by the way) Looking at the availability in 302-305, 306 & 316 - 318, I think we will do very well to sell out. If we don't sell out the atmosphere suffers. It all comes down to cost. Just because other clubs charge similar prices for games like this doesn't justify City doing it. I'm not saying that we should be let in for free, I just feel that some common sense pricing after such a long expensive season would have been really appreciated by us all.

6 days to go. It'll sell out. Some fans were probably wanting to get the semi final costs out of the way first before buying a ticket for this one.

Agree totally about the prices though - £35 for me in the cheapest part of the ground and because I'm on the cup scheme is acceptable but some of the other prices aren't.

Regardless of the price of the seat, fans need to be up for this. The 'we really might as well not be here' mob wont help us get through.

Every adult ticket for this should have been £30 in all parts of the ground.

The good publicity would have done the club some good and good will with the fans would have made a huge difference as something like that sets up a good atmosphere (it was £5 for Hamburg).

I think this month on just tickets (including seasoncard payment) and travel (not including any food or drink paid for on any of these days) I’ve spent £243 on City and I’ve not even been to Spurs and I’m not going to Palace so fuck knows how much people have spent if they’ve been to them all.

That’s just about the amount I have spare each month after I’ve paid for bills and food. Pay day is on Monday for me and I’m down to my last pennies, literally. This will be the case for thousands of Blues as this is the makeup of our support. Many people have less than I do spare each month to spend.

I know a number of lads (lads who like to help towards an atmosphere) who chose between Wembley and Spurs; who chose Wembley and won’t be there next Wednesday against Spurs. That’s a few voices down next week that could have contributed.

It’s not even that the Spurs game is overly expensive like the Paris game was a few years ago. But it’s the accumulation of it all. The club just haven’t cared to take that into consideration this season.

£340 tickets and travel has cost me for the 4 London games.

Add another £250 I guess on beer and food

Plus your seasoncard money that comes out each month; plus travel, beer and food to the home games too.

Unbelievable how much football costs!

Not aimed at you so much but I hope Allez, Allez, Allez, and a few other songs that only half of City fans know or sing along to are kept to a minimum. We need the songs that everyone knows if we're gonna create a good atmosphere stadium-wide (not just singing section or South Stand) and the reality is, a lot of older fans or fans in the North Stand/CB don't join in with a lot of the newer songs.
The Allez Allez song seems to be growing in popularity but my feeling is that it makes us sound a little obsessed... if it is going to carry on however I'll learn the words
