I would probably say the Singing Section in the East Stand corner were louder tonight, but didn't sing as consistently as the lot over in the South Stand they were just very quiet but looked like they put a lot of effort in so fair play!

Fair play, its had to tell where the noise is coming from when im not their haha. Its a start though!

111 was pretty good tonight, better than I was expecting before kick off. Didn't hear anything from you lot but the one zaba song. proves we are louder when west ham direct all their songs and insults too us. We're on the march with pellegrini......

Its not a bloody competition, everyone is meant to sing the same thing

did i say it was. just saying we was more vocal. we would join if we could hear them. just like we did when we heard the zaba song, we joined in. but you wasn't there, you was watching on tv so I dunno why I'm bothering to reply. you hardly made the effort to join in did you

I didn't mean it to sound like that tbh, should have really but a winky face in it. Unfortunately I'm at uni in the middle of exams so couldn't make it tonight, smart arse

You're right, he's doing media studies with a flower arranging minor!

Yeah, the flag display looked great, but I think it's going to need more than 50 people to get more noise going. The idea of having a section just for singing is great. The guys in the Kippax were making a lot of noise tonight, but I think we need a whole block just for singers in the South Stand, and 117 could well be that block, if we can get that section organised solely for singers next season/the season after that. (also happens to be the block I sit in :P)

Also I think there's a strong argument for bringing back the Poznan after tonight. Definitely got the decibel level a bit higher. It just seems to have that sort of effect on the atmosphere. Gets people going.
Think about it. 2010/11 season: We have the Poznan - generally a good atmosphere that season. 2011/12 season: The Poznan continues - generally a good atmosphere. Compare that to this season and the last, and there's a clear difference.

Nonetheless, great effort to the 1894 Group

i was moved from my normal seat in 117 to 119 and i could hear them. I heard the kippax a lot more. Thanks west ham for starting the poznan to create some atmosphere.

All we could hear were the West Ham fans! Where were all the people from the South Stand it was half empty? Once or twice we heard part of the Zaba song and the Vinnie one but without the West Ham fans it would have been dire. The Poznan was good, but had to be started by the WH supporters!

Also one person near me said they were glad they weren't anywhere near the people waving the flags because they would be restricting the view of the people behind. I know if that huge flag had been restricting my view I would have had something to say, I want to cheer the PLAYERS & be able to see them when they score, not a flag. Sorry but that is how I felt about it.

I was in the middle of 117 as usual.

More songs last night but due to less numbers in the block less volume.

On a moaning note the flags can be a pain when the game is on.

We were sat in 125, so weren't that close to either singing section, but certainly no where near as far away as the North stand who I assume heard no singing!
Got to give credit to the 1894group for trying there hardest, not only with organising but also the visual displays!
However, where we were sat we were unable to hear anything from the 117 block, saw the flags obviously and was able to see people jumping and clapping, just didn't hear a word from you, like someone else said, maybe its the way the stadium was built, or you're just quiet? Clearly heard block 111 though, they were singing loud and proud, was great to see and hear but no one in our block sung!!!!! Real annoying it is, we tried singing a few songs yet no one joins in, the atmosphere at the Etihad really needs improving dramatically, I never understand why they're so so quiet? It really doesn't hurt to show your support to the club by singing! I mean we're able to do it away and the atmosphere at games away is just immense, ao why not bring that home with us! Poznan was great but had to be started by West Ham, who even though we're losing by so much sung the whole time and were enjoying themselves, that's what football's about, to make the noise, to prove how much you love the club and how we have the best fans in the world!!!
Sorry for the rant, but it has to be said, still well done to everyone who tried and was singing! Hopefully we'll absolutely bring the place down at Wembley!(;

Such a negative post! From 117 you couldn't hear the West ham fans, at all. And it's a good job their is over 50 other blocks you can choose to sit in so your view will never have to be restricted. You seem like the type of person that tries to ruin other peoples fun.

I thought the flags were great, they create something visual which engages people from other areas of the stadium, or even people watching on the tele.
