Looking forward to giving him a proper goodbye.

Clearly this second run at City hasn't worked but at least we'll give him a better send-off than we did in 2023.

Gundo is probably the most obviously over the hill player I've seen at this level. He legitimately has done nothing most of the season. Kovacic can take his spot going forward and Nico is the number 1 starter in midfield. Nico o'reilly should get his opportunity in midfield against Plymouth as well, let's start seeing what he's made of.

Being used as a scapegoat
He doesn't do anything anymore, he's a bystander for much of the time he's on the pitch, can't keep up with the play at times too. He shouldn't be involved in any capacity going forward if we are serious about trying to win.

Maybe so, and I agree his time is done. Hopefully see him in a coaching role at the club. But he did nothing wrong leading to our demise last night

As it stands about 4k people after the 90mins against Bournemouth, wont be great will it.

Really hope he sees sense and calls it quits this summer.

Can't be arsed seeing him trundle around the pitch next year too.

Truly wish he could have come back into a good team, where he could have contributed with small cameos and experience.

The reality is that his comeback has been a bit of a disaster first and foremost because it highlights how braindead we have acted in the transfer market lately

I'm not blaming Gundogan as he literally was doing what was asked and wasn't directly culpable.

I just don't understand his usage or the plan with him last night. He came on at 2-1, where we should be looking to close the game out and he was pushed up the pitch again. He isn't a poacher, it's not false 9 Gundo anymore so what is the expectation? I would have at least understood if the idea was to just million pass them to death with Kovacic, Gundo, Bernardo and an inverted Lewis. However, Gundo was a second striker and made 3 passes. What was the point.

There wasn't much time for him to do so but if you don't offer anything then you are automatically a net negative regardless if you directly contributed to a mistake or not.

thats fair enough, but some are suggesting us conceding two poor goals at the end is down to him. Which it isnt.
The goals weren't directly down to Gundogan but he helped Madrid, he come on to sure up the midfield & we looked so much more open, he was running around marking himself out of the match it was as if he didn't want the ball so he made himself unavailable for the pass by positioning himself between two players constantly, it wasn't as if they was marking him either, he puts himself there.
