There were games where Kova was damn near World Class. Including the redcard game. Id loan out Nico G over letting Kova go.

I don't think many appreciate how good Kova was last season... Literally POTS in my eye.

Just go back and watch his last 10 games for City. He literally ran the show in most of them. Scoring key goals in a fair few.

He simply doesn't get enough credit for how good he was. No midfielder was in the same zipcode in terms of performance... Head qnd shoulders above...

Last of the Uncs to go if you ask me.

Respect your view. But for me no where near the standard we need. He looked good in a poor city team last season. He was pretty awful in all the big games: Arsenal, Liverpool, Madrid etc.

Again, i here this a lot.. He didn'tj just 'look good in a bad team'. He was just good, period. And the team was far better when he played.

And for the record, he barely played against Madrid or Liverpool. 12 minutes at the end of one game against Liverpool amd 11 in one against Real and 29 minutes in the other game. Only started in the 5-1 loss to Arsenal.

Like i said, when he started, we were better and he ran the show. You are right we were often shit in both big and small games. Except for when he started.

You have to go watch the last 10 Kova games. Im trying not to overstate it here bur he was damn near WC.

We’ll agree to disagree. Made the awful pass back to Rico for Madrids 3rd goal but heyho!

Is Gvardiol shit? Should I list all his goal causing errors?

If errors leading to gosls is the standard, then Gvardiol is shit. So is Phil Foden, Dias, Nunez, Kevin, Gonzalez, Stones, Akanji.vand O'Reilly.

If your analysis of him playing poorly is simply down to back heeling a ball 8 minutes after he came on in a game we were already losing, well by that standard, no; one is good enough.

Which is my point. Even if it is the case that you have such a high standard that Kova cant scale, then no one else was good enough to scale it.

I think most just don't want to let go of their preconceived notions. And presume our overall poor performance is a function of having to play players like Kova. While in reality, the absence of Kova was often why we sucked. Not the other way around.
