The question is why, why has Foden developed and nobody else. What did Pep see in Foden or say to him to convince him he had a future, why hasn’t he seen it in others.Yeah, and who else out of the dozens of EDS products?

Because Foden couldn’t be sidelined any longer, no matter how adverse you are to bringing in youngsters. Helped by being malleable so he could be controlled 100%.The question is why, why has Foden developed and nobody else. I’d say but for Palmer he was the only one really good enough to have prospered, and to be fair I didn’t see it in Palmer either and I don’t think even Chelsea quite saw the levels he has got to.
The question isn’t which of those that left would get into the team now, it’s which ones would have got into the record breaking trophy winning teams of the last few years, because thats the level we are looking at getting back to.
