Unfortunately for Alvarez all of Grealish, Mahrez and Haaland are doing well at the moment which makes it hard for Pep to exclude them.
Hope he gets plenty of minutes in the coming weeks.

He is the SPARK PLUG that makes this team run at the moment.

We had almost nothing happening till he came on and then out of nowhere, bang hit the post and it created a goal.

He needs to be playing with Haaland and should be in our first team. They complement each other very well!

City are relying on Harland so much.
But surely getting another forward closer to Erling can only pay dividends e.g. pulling defenders out of position or even picking up the 2 balls.
In my opinion, only Alvarez can play this role. He is a ruthless, clinical attacker who needs to be more in the "danger areas" where goals are scored.
Pep, please play Alvarez alongside Erling more frequently.
We need them to forge an attacking partnership that will frighten every defence in Europe...

Considering the fee and wages etc , has to be on a par with Haaland as signing of the season , PHillips on the other hand ........only joking , give him a season to rise to our level , after playing for Leeds its a culture playing for us.

Just play him and Foden in midfield around Rodri, those 2 run for ages.

Too many tired legs in midfield, or players who don't want to be here.

Foden and Alvarez are the future, play them (and Foden when fit).

plays better in the pockets better than KDB who has forgotten how to be a midfielder. 4-2-3-1 is the way to go for us with alvarez behind the striker. gives us more attacking output while also giving more energy to our midfield and someone next to rodri to help him out.

May sound crazy, but I'd rather play Alvarez than any of the other forwards if we play in a CL final tomorrow. We are much more accustomed to a player like him than to Haaland (who is a fantastic pure striker). Hopefully Pep will play them both in big games.

I hear you.

Haaland is phenomenal but right now the team isnt quite gelling with his presence.The midfield and attack currently look detached ,Alvarez is capable of linking the two and making us far more fluid (much like he did to win the WC)

It wont happen but id like to see our high energy players in the same 11
