Fantastic again. Involved heavily in the build up and clinical when he sees goal. Hes giving pep another puzzle to solve, how do we fit him and haaland?

Such a quality player with a brilliant football brain and only 23 years old, so glad Alvarez signed that contract extension, compare him to Hernandez at £106m at Chelsea I know which player I’d rather have.

Whats telling is he’s taking no time at all to settle.

Jonathan Wilson said today he’s the 3rd best striker in the league…which is probably right.

I know he just signed a contract last week, which is a good sign he’s not worried about game time but we might have to play a lot more 442 in the future.

If we can get a proper overlapping full back, we can play him off one of the flanks. Most of the time we'll have the ball and he'll be able to move inside.

His vision is KDB'esque!

I think he's the entire KDB package with much better pressing energy and goal scoring.

He'll be a #10 for Pep. No question about it!

Scary part is he's still raw! We won't see the best of him for atleast another 2-3 years under Pep, but the glimpses we see now.. we've got ourselves a gem!

Alvarez definitely seems more comfortable on the right than cutting in from the left anyway.
